Slender Pins – for fans of The Fall, Gang of Four, Bogshed and general punk funk informed artnik indie, a remarkable band renowned for superbly lively performances, especially in the Dublin Castle. Taut, tense but tremendously joyous at all times. And moreover they have ace songs. Also…  Their lead singer is not called Bert it transpires.  but he’s certainly a great frontman! El Fausto – Highly stylised noir pop rock sung in Spanish … could be from the soundtrack to a great lost David Lynch film or something. A bit of Nick Cave in there maybe but this is pretty original boho rock. ‘El Fausto delivers a powerful live show blending original rock with a dark, theatrical edge.
