The Non-Nonconformists – Blues mingled with post punk replete with clattering latin percussion and a vocal something akin to an Oxbridge Mark E Smith. There’s definitely room in your life for a band who sound a bit like the Fall fronted by Marcus Bridgestock. And they groove.  Rockist post-punk with bonkers but amusing ranting. Parting Shots – Legends of North East post punk, reformed and refitted for 21st Century fun. Sunderland legendary Punk Band Parting Shots have reformed and entered the digital age.  Their new EP – Burn in Heaven is out now on Bandcamp. Snarling lyrics by David Hodgson (also of Folk Devils), and all fired up with heavy dub dynamics and funky bass. Great to have them back and in the DC. Sweetpool – embracing psychedelia, post punk, space rock and motorik riddims, this band make a big beautiful noise for a three piece.
